AICE Media Studies

  We used this design because we show the durability and generalizability of the backpack through looks and conditions. We also thought about the music and came up with choosing Believer to be our song because it shows how well Jansport backpacks work with each other and accomplish its goals.

 I was looking at commercials from the company JanSport and found how they focus mainly on durability and design for common use. Our commercial is gonna show off the durability and the different designs of the backpacks. Another use is of the different angles seen in it including crop, tan, and tilt. They use an upbeat song to show how exciting the backpacks are and why you should get them. They also express the different types of edits and shots including, long shot, three shot, Close up, and extreme close up. There is also the use of skating and school supplies to show how accessible it is and the ease of access. They also relate it to freedom because of the backpacks simplistic design. 

   We chose to do a Jansport backpack commercial. I  planned ideas for the commercial. We found how they focused mainly on durability and design for common use. Our commercial is gonna show off the durability and the different designs of the backpacks. There were camera angles including crop, pan, and tilt. We plan to use an upbeat song. We are going to include many shots like, long shot, three shot, Close up, and extreme close up. We are going to  use many edits including cross cutting, fade out, and insert. We are also going to use school supplies to show how accessible it is and the ease of access. We are going to wear very casual clothing. We are going to shoot most of the commercial outside. We are going to have little to no dialogue. We will use lots of music and sound effects. We will have a small amount of people in the commercial. We mainly will focus on the backpack. Hi my name is Leandro Cruz, and I'll be talking about the members that I'll be working with in a group. I will be working with Dartamian Dorelien, and I want to work with him because he is responsible, he is smart, he is nice, he is a hard worker, he has the same interests as me, he doesn't like to procrastinate, and he always got my back. He also is a creative person that can draw and help me with research and all the other components. We're still deciding what we're gonna do for the project and how we're gonna do it but I think we are going to succeed in this class. I also chose him because we live close to each other so it makes it easier for us to meet up and finish the projects and presentations. He was also inspired to join the class because he was curious to see what it was about and it looked like a cool thing to make as a career. He is also a good editor so it would make the quality of the videos much better and more enjoyable. 

  Hi my name is Leandro Cruz, I am a senior in high school right now and I took AICE Media Studies because I wanted to explore what media studies is about and what type of careers I could get out of it. I was born and grew up in Florida and I like to play soccer and play guitar. I go to Fort Lauderdale High school and have been through many things going through all my Cambridge classes and passing them. I want to become a better student and to feel how it is to be a editor and producer of my own film. When I first got into this class I was a little worried because there were many kids in the class. And I didn't know anybody in that class so I was weirded out at first. But then I opened up a bit and found someone to help me with the projects.  When it comes to sports, I’ve always had a passion for soccer and have been playing it since 5th grade.
