My Pitch


First Pitch

Deep in the ocean there are many mythical creatures but the one most known is the merman who love to drag innocent swimmers into the deep and drown them., As a team of investigators try to stop them they get stuck in the mess too.

Pros of this pitch is that its an easier topic to explain and the shots don't have to be so precise because most is in the water where most of it wont be visible. Another pro is how much editing I have to do for it because I'm not going to show the sea creature in the intro to make it more mysterious. Cons of this pitch are that i need to show a lots of pictures in the intro with lots of creepy sounds. And the weather can effect how fast the water moves. It also doesn't need many actors which is another pro and can be done in a short time. Another is how we can film the beach in it and can record anywhere on it without interruption. 

Second Pitch
A man just gets out of prison for a crime he didn't commit, he is depressed in life because no one knows who he is and he is living life homeless.

Pros of this is that its going to be a very emotional movie and we just have to film around the city and on the train tracks. Cons are that the props and costume will be hard to perfect and the scene has to be perfect without any people on some roads. It will be very hard to edit because we have to make it a mix of him in prison and him outside. The effects have to be pristine too with all the other.

I pick the first scene because it has a much better story and more a plot that makes it more into its genre. The second pitch is good to but way harder to perfect because the recordings have to be very good.

 When I finish recording I started editing little by little. I synced the music to the actions in the advertisement. I made clipped the scenes to make it look better. I made the audio better. I zoomed in on the actor more. I asked people to help me on the recording. I cut the failed clips out but kept the really good \ones. I used a lot of fade outs to make the scenes go by faster. I did the job well. I helpd o more sounds by adding in some special effects. I made sure to get the determination when I jumped from 2 stairs to the bottom. I worked on the lighting because of the glare. Some shadows had to be taken out. I used the music to hype up the advertisement. I added logos. I emphasized on the logos. I added more sound effects. I used the backpack zipping as a sound effect. I showed how durable it was. I showed off the different colors.

Production Blog: Filming

 I started out today at 12:00 Pm on a Sunday morning and brought my friends with me to help record the scene. It was nice and sunny outside and the beached was pretty crowded. The phones started to overheat because of the temperature but I was able to cool it down by putting it in the shad for 5 mins. After we started by taking a walking shot from the far back of the beach and slowly walking with 10 second clips fading in and coming back until we reached the water. It was a little hard to keep the camera steady while walking in the water so it took multiple tries to get it perfect. Then I had to dip my phone in the water for a second and which was really hard because either it was dipped in too fast or i stopped recording before I put it in the water. It took about 15 minutes for me to get the shot right. But I finally got a clean shot that looked pretty nice. Production Blog: Editing

Me and my friends were going to film today but the weather wasn't nice. It started to rain hard and it wasn't stopping so I chose to go back to my place with my friends. I started to watch shots at the beach and what angles looked the best. And I made a plan to what I were going to do the next day. So I planned that we'll get to the beach around 12:00 when the sun is out and make sure there were have proper lighting so I can see. I'm probably going to dub the audio because of the background noise and it was said to be windy the next day. After I was going to prepare the go pro for the underwater shots. Then I'm going to see if the footage was the best it can be otherwise we'll reshoot the bad parts.
